Permitted products
The basis of the diet for food allergies in children are the following products:
- meat - turkey, rabbit, lamb, lean pork, horse meat;
- porridge - rice, buckwheat, millet, oatmeal;
- black bread (Darnitsky) or dietary bread;
- vegetables - cabbage, cucumbers, zucchini, potatoes (excluded with intolerance to starch).
During cooking, you can add any greens, as well as olive or sesame oil. Of fruits, only green apples and pears are allowed freely, all other foods must be carefully introduced into the diet, carefully marking any reaction in the diary.
Prohibited products
Nutrition for allergies in children should not contain:
- beef, chicken, duck meat, goose;
- fish and seafood;
- chicken eggs;
- sausages, boiled and smoked sausages;
- milk and dairy products, cheese;
- fruit and berries, except for green apples and pears;
- mushrooms;
- white bread and buns;
- nuts, chocolate;
- honey, dog rose;
- tea, coffee and carbonated drinks;
- as well as any products containing preservatives, dyes, flavors.
For infants who are on artificial or mixed feeding, it is necessary to select special hypoallergenic mixtures.
A full and rational nutrition of the child with food allergy is desirable to be done together with a qualified allergist doctor after the necessary examinations, because different products can cause children to respond individually.
