Often we forget about the most important thing that we know from childhood. For example, that you need to drink water. The diet for constipation always first of all includes 2 liters of water per day. This is only 8 glasses, and you need to drink or half an hour before a meal, or an hour or two after it. It is the insufficient level of moisture in the body that can have a harmful effect on peristalsis. And do not confuse water and drinks: you do not need to drink tea, coffee or juice, namely, pure drinking water.

Diet with constipation in adults: fiber

The basis of therapeutic nutrition for constipation is a product rich in fiber. Fiber is often not enough for the body to ensure that the gastrointestinal tract functions correctly. The source of fiber can be a whole list of products. Normally a person should receive about 35 g daily - for this you need to consume at least 2-3 servings of foods rich in fiber. Such foodstuffs with constipation include:

  1. Vegetables and greens : cabbage, beets, carrots, spinach, etc.
  2. Cereals and products from them : whole grain and bran bread, brown and black rice, buckwheat and oatmeal.

Nutrition for chronic constipation: dairy products

Do not forget that in addition to water and fiber diet should necessarily include and dairy products, because they help restore the microflora of the intestine and help the body to cope with the problem on its own. Any diet against constipation can not do without such additions.

In some easy cases, it is enough to drink a glass of yogurt or curdled milk from good milk before going to bed. In others, it is required to connect "heavy artillery" and add a couple of spoons of sour cream to the ration each day.

  1. Breakfast : a plate of oatmeal, tea without sugar, dried fruit or candied fruit.

In the future, do not forget that you must always include in the diet a sufficient amount of fiber and, if possible, ignore the products that provoke constipation: manna and rice porridge, strong tea and blueberries.
