Feeding on the Vedas

According to Vedic knowledge, nutrition has a very great influence on the functioning of the body, its activity, mental and spiritual abilities . In addition to choosing the right foods, the nutrition of the Vedas is paid much attention to the time of eating.

Day and Nutrition Regime for the Vedas

  1. The best time for a small breakfast is the period from 6 to 8 am, since after this time the food should already start to be digested - this is the peak of fiery activity. During breakfast, it is allowed to sweeten the food.
  2. You can eat lunch as soon as there is a famine, from 10 am and up to 14. The best time for lunch is 12 hours. Lunch can be quite dense, because the body at this time is set to digest.
  3. Dinner should be small and not later than 18 hours. A heavy dinner leads to the fact that food does not have time to digest and begins to produce toxins that enter the body in the morning. Dinner should not include cereals, dairy products and fruits. The use of excess and improper food during dinner is the main cause of illness, low activity and bad mood. In addition, it is the food during dinner that is stored in the form of fats in the problem areas of the body.
  4. Before going to bed, the Vedas recommend drinking a little sweetened milk, which bears peace and improves the mind.
  5. Proper nutrition according to the Vedas includes the organization of the process of food intake. The time of eating should be filled with pleasant emotions. Do not watch TV or read a book at this time. You can include nice music. It is not recommended to eat in a bad mood. First you need to calm down, get rid of unpleasant emotions, and then sit down at the table.
