Let's start with one of the most authentic dishes on the banquet table - a whole chicken baked with potato wedges. A ruddy bird always looks very presentable and gives the impression that the hostess has spent several hours preparing it, although in practice the entire preparatory process takes a minimum of time.

Before tasty bake chicken with potatoes, experts advise to soak the bird in a strong saline solution so that the meat is evenly salted. It's a great technique, but it takes a lot of time, so we just rub the carcass with salt.

Mix the Dijon mustard with citrus juice and dried herbs, distribute this mixture on the surface of the chicken as evenly as possible.

Potatoes are simple enough to wash and divide into slices directly in the skin, the pieces should be seasoned and sprinkled with oil.

Spread potatoes in a pan, lay a bird on top of it and leave everything in a preheated oven for 200 hours for an hour, until the transparent juice flows from the bird when piercing.

If you want to get juicy poultry and crumbly soft potatoes, it is best to bake the dish together in the sleeve. The latter will help to keep the maximum moisture from what the tubers and the bird will be prepared in their own juice.

Divide the chicken carcass into segments. Cover it with potatoes with a mixture of fragrant oil and lemon juice. Melt the butter and combine it with the juice of one lemon, add salt and dried rosemary. Divide the potatoes into blocks and combine it with half the oil mixture. Rest the remaining half by chicken.

Place the potatoes, chicken and slices of the remaining lemon in the baking sleeve, then leave everything in a preheated 180 degree oven for an hour and a half.

While the vegetables and chicken are baked, cook the sauce by beating all ingredients from the list together until a homogeneous paste is formed. Distribute this paste to pieces of chicken and serve the dish. Before tasting, water the bird with baked lemon juice.

How to bake chicken with potatoes?

Many people prefer the standard combination of baked chicken with potatoes and mushrooms, but we offer to diversify the popular dish and replace the standard addition of potato tubers with bright asparagus pods.
