In the case of nausea and vomiting, these preparations in the form of suppositories are recommended instead of tablets.
- Selective serotonin agonists (zolmitriptan, naratriptan, sumatriptan, almotriptan, rizatriptan, etc.). These pills are used to treat migraine during the interictal period and to relieve attacks. With severe nausea and vomiting, drugs are used in the form of nasal sprays. These drugs normalize the exchange of serotonin in the brain, the violation of which is the mechanism for triggering an attack. They also contribute to the elimination of spasm of blood vessels. Under the influence of these drugs, pain is cured and other manifestations of migraine are minimized.
- Dopamine receptor agonists (lizuride, metergoline, bromocriptine, etc.). These drugs help reduce the frequency and intensity of seizures, so they are often used with a preventive purpose. They affect the tone of the vessels, causing it

Tablets from migraine during pregnancy
The list of migraine tablets that are recommended for taking during pregnancy is significantly reduced, because these drugs have many side effects and can harm the fetus.
Means for stopping a migraine attack, the most safe for the mother and the future child, are paracetamol , ibuprofen, acetaminophen, flunarizine, as well as magnesium preparations.
