Original sin

Original sin is a violation of the first people, Adam and Eve, the commandments of God about obedience. This event entailed the exclusion of them from the state of the godlike and immortal. It is considered a sinful corruption , which has entered into the nature of man and is transmitted at the moment of birth from mother to child. Liberation from original sin occurs in the Sacrament of Baptism.

A bit of history

Original sin in Christianity occupies a significant part of the teaching, since all the troubles of mankind have gone from it. There is a lot of information in which all the concepts of this act of the first people are painted.

The fall is the loss of an exalted state, that is, life in God. Such a state in Adam and Eve was in Paradise, in contact with the supreme good, with God. If Adam had resisted temptation, he would have become absolutely uncomfortable with evil and would never have left heaven. Changing his destiny, he forever disengaged from union with God and became mortal.

The first type of death was the death of the soul, which departed from the divine grace. After Jesus Christ saved the human race, we again got a chance to return the deity to our life of complete sin, for this we must only fight them.

Atonement for original sin in antiquity

In the old days, this happened with the help of sacrifice in order to correct the inflicted offenses and insults to the gods. Often in the role of the Redeemer were all kinds of animals, but sometimes they were people. In Christian doctrine, it is commonly believed that human nature is sinful. Although scientists have proved that in the Old Testament, namely in places dedicated to describing the fall of the first people, nowhere is it written about the "original sin" of mankind, nor that this one was given to the next generations of people, nothing about redemption. This says that in ancient times, all the rituals of sacrifice had an individual character, before they thus redeemed their personal sins. So it is written in all the sacred writings of Islam and Judaism.

Christianity, after borrowing many ideas from other traditions, accepted this dogma. Gradually information about "original sin" and "Jesus' redemptive mission" densely entered the doctrine, and denial of it was considered a heresy.

What is the original sin?

The original state of man was the ideal source of divine bliss. After Adam and Eve sinned in Paradise, they lost their spiritual health and became not only mortal, but also learned what suffering is.

Blessed Augustine considered the fall and redemption to be the two main pillars of the Christian dogma. The first doctrine of salvation was interpreted by the Orthodox Church for a long time.

Its essence was as follows:

Their perfection did not let them fall before the fall alone, but Satan helped them. It is this disregard for the commandment that is invested in the concept of original sin. In order to punish disobedience, people began to experience hunger, thirst, fatigue, and the fear of death . After that, the wine is passed from mother to child at the moment of birth. Jesus Christ was born in such a way as to remain uninvolved in this sin. However, in order to fulfill his mission on Earth, he assumed the consequences. All this was done in order to die for people and thereby save the next generation from sin.
