In anticipation of the new year, I want to start creating a festive atmosphere around myself: choose gifts for relatives and friends, think through the image for the celebration - clothes , make-up, manicure , decorate the apartment , decorate the main symbol of the celebration - the New Year tree. But there are times when there is no possibility to put a festive tree, but you still want to create a New Year mood. In this situation, there is nothing better than to make a small topiary-tree, which will become an interesting and original decoration of the interior. Such an accessory can be installed in the workplace to brighten up the last working days, or put on a festive table on New Year's Eve. In addition, the New Year's topiari-tree, which we will do in this master class, will be a wonderful gift for people who are dear to you and simply beautiful decoration of the apartment.
Necessary materials
In order to create a stylized New Year tree you will need:
- a sheet of thick white paper or cardboard;
- The wooden stick is about 1 cm in diameter and 30 cm in length;
- satin ribbon or ribbon of golden or beige color;
- a small glass glass or a decorative vase;
- rice, groats or small decorative stone to give the tree the stability;
- some sisal fibers;
- lace ribbon;
- glue gun;
- a variety of brooches, beautiful buttons and interesting details that will decorate the New Year's topiary tree;
- acrylic colors of white and gold colors;
- brushes;
- glue;
- a gold spray paint in a can;
- scissors;
- sponge.
Instructions
Now we will consider step by step how to make a topiary tree:
- First, prepare all the necessary tools and materials.
- Now take a sheet of paper and roll a cone out of it. Secure the resulting figure with glue and cut the bottom part.
- A wooden stick that will serve as the trunk of our tree, grease with glue and wind with a golden or beige satin ribbon. A few centimeters from below and from above can not be pasted with tape, as they will not be visible.
- Drip a large drop of glue on one of the ends of the stick-stem and plant a paper cone on it. Fix the workpiece in this position until the glue seizes.
- The other end of the wooden stick is also abundantly greased with glue and set in a glass container. When the glue is slightly dry, pour rice into the glass, small grains or decorative pebbles to fix the topiary in an upright position.
- From the sisal, make a small "nest" for the topiary tree and place it on the top of the glass container.
- Wrap the lower part of the glass with a lace tape and fix it with an adhesive gun.
- Use different shades of lace to make the design more interesting.
- Choose a beautiful and large brooch or large button of the original shape and glue it over the lace tape on the glass.
- Now you can do the decoration of the top of the topiary tree. First, wrap the lace band with the entire cone, fixing it with an adhesive gun. The tape does not need to lie flat. The folds will only add texture to the stylized New Year tree.
- Mix white acrylic paint with a little gold to get a warm, pleasant shade.
- Using a sponge, cover the entire lacy surface of the topiary with paint and wait until the paint is completely dry.
- Cover the tree with gold paint from the spray.
- Prepare decorative elements that will decorate the topiary tree made with your own hands and cover them with gold paint from a can.
- Stick the decorations on the crown of the tree and, if desired, add a little more gold paint.
- New Year's topiari-tree is ready!
