ECO OMS

To date, thousands of Russian couples are struggling with the problem of infertility. For some, this process has already ended with a victory - a long-awaited baby, for others - still only ahead. A widespread method of artificial insemination, IVF, could help in this situation. But the main problem faced by those wishing to conceive a child in this way is the high cost of treatment. Not everyone can afford an expensive procedure, which moreover does not give any guarantees. But in 2013, many Russian citizens had a hope - the opportunity to make IVF on the policy of CHI.

Happiness "from a test tube"

In vitro fertilization is one of the most popular methods of infertility treatment. The method was first used in 1978 in the UK and to date has helped thousands of couples to become happy parents.

IVF is an expensive procedure, and no one guarantees success on the first attempt. The cost of the method in Russia, depending on the clinics varies from 100 to 300 thousand rubles. Agree, quite a rather large sum for a family with an average income. And considering that the result is not always positive after the first time, ECO becomes something unattainable.

Artificial insemination is probably one of the most effective and popular methods of infertility treatment, and for some - the only one. Therefore, the sky-high cost of IVF deprives motherhood of thousands of Russian women.

IVF on the program of compulsory medical insurance

On October 22, 2012, a draft program of compulsory health insurance was signed, which includes free IVF.

As early as January 1, 2013, each infertile couple will be able to make IVF at the expense of OMI funds. It would seem that many childless families have a hope. But, like all initiatives, such a project still requires some refinement. So, for example, the law states that a resident of Russia can apply to any clinic specializing in reproductive medicine and which is part of the system of financing for CHI, but only the list of such clinics has not yet been approved.

Of course, IVF due to MHI is, perhaps, the only chance for many families. But the question of how to do IVF for OMS remains open. The course of action, of course, is prescribed in the bill, but in practice it will take more than one year. According to the program, a woman or a married couple should get a diagnosis of "infertility", undergo a comprehensive examination to find out the reasons, then a course of therapy. And only after making sure of the ineffectiveness of treatment, get a referral to IVF.

The entire process can take 2-3 years, and in the issue of infertility an important role is played every week. And if the girls at the age of 25 are still in stock for a while, then for women whose childbearing period is nearing completion, it is especially important to know whether the IVF is part of the MHI program and what are the financing terms.

According to the bill, in order to use IVF in the MHI system, a woman with a diagnosis of "infertility" is necessary with extracts from the medical card, passport and insurance policy to apply to any clinic of reproductology. Undoubtedly, the institution must consist of a health insurance program. Provided that all the documents are in order, and the necessary examinations have already been completed, the clinic should begin treatment no later than one month after the treatment.

How will the entire process of IVF for OMS, will show only practice. In any case, the new bill on which the IVF is part of the CHI program is a big step forward for the health insurance system. In addition, the program gives real hope to a huge number of childless Russian families to hear, at last, in their own home a sonorous children's laughter.
