A lot of truck farmers are engaged in growing plants only in greenhouse conditions. With the end of the winter cold, the windowsills of apartments and houses turn into miniature plantations for seedlings of all sorts of vegetables. But when you need to plant seedlings for a greenhouse - that's what often worries inexperienced gardeners.

In fact, it is not so difficult to determine the timing of seed sowing for seedlings for greenhouses. It is important to take into account several factors. Firstly, this is the time for planting seedlings in a greenhouse. Usually transplanting of seedlings to a permanent place in the protected soil is carried out in the mid-May-mid-June limit.

Secondly, it is also important that the seedlings of which plants you intend to grow. The fact is that, for example, in different vegetables the emergence of seedlings after sowing occurs in different ways. And the intensity of growth and vegetation period are different. No less important is the variety of the selected vegetable - early ripening, medium-ripening or late-ripening.

For example, if we talk about planting seedlings of early tomatoes for greenhouses, then it should be borne in mind that if you plan to land in the greenhouse on May 15, then count about 45 days for the growth of seedlings (April 1), then 7 days for seed germination, March 25. The medium-ripened tomato sows 2-3 weeks earlier.

Terms of sowing vegetables for seedlings for greenhouses

Many truck farmers will be much easier if they are given approximate dates for planting seeds for seedlings.

For example, the cucumber is transferred to a permanent place in sheltered soil at the end of May. Since three days pass from sowing to the emergence of sprouts, and the vegetation period lasts up to 28 days, crop culture is recommended at the end of April.

Seeding of eggplant seeds is made in the first days of April with the purpose of transplanting into a greenhouse in the very beginning of June. Seedlings can be seen after 11-14 days. And young plants develop to the state of "adults" about 45-50 days.

Such crops, zucchini or pumpkin plant in a greenhouse near the middle of June (10-12 of the number). Their shoots appear relatively quickly - about 4 days, and the development of seedlings - just over 4 weeks. This means that the seeds are sown for seedlings in the first days of May.
