Karakurt is a poisonous spider. But for human health, only the bite of a female is dangerous. Its poison is neurotoxic and causes intense release of acetylcholine in various neuromuscular synapses, as well as in CNS synapses. He will not lead to a fatal outcome, if the victim knows what symptoms are manifested with a bite of a karakurt, and on time will seek medical help.
The first symptoms of a bite of karakurt
The bite of karakurt is not very painful. In most cases, it is perceived as a needle stick or not even felt. Local reaction to spider venom is also absent or very weakly expressed - the skin in the bite region may be slightly pale. Most often there are no local changes and it is difficult to find the place of the bite. Due to the mild pain of the bite, many victims (especially those who were bitten during the sleep period) do not associate their sudden poor state of health with the bite of a poisonous insect and only go to a medical institution after common manifestations of intoxication.
The first general toxic signs of the bite of the karakurt are manifested quickly, after about 5 minutes, and are very rapidly progressing. These include:
- burning pain at the bite site;
- pain in the lymph nodes ;
- pains that give to the joints of the legs;
- dizziness.
The severity of pain varies from relatively mild to extremely severe. Everything depends on the toxicity of the poison. If the poisoning is strong, after a bite of a karakurt there are such signs, as:
- painful muscular pain (can be combined with paresthesia in the lower back, abdomen or chest);
- nervous excitement;
- a pronounced fear of death;
- pallor of the skin;
- lacrimation.
Signs of a bite of karakurt
If the patient does not provide first aid, soon after the bite of karakurt begin to develop other symptoms. The victim has muscle weakness. It is especially pronounced in the lower extremities, as a result of which a person can hardly move or can not stand on his feet at all. Drawing and aching pains of different locations can be combined with a pronounced muscle tension. Very often, the abdominal press is very tight. The dryness of the tongue, pronounced leukocytosis, paresis of the intestine and an increase in temperature are also indicative of the bite of the karakurt. All of them imitate the picture of an acute abdomen, which is why there are cases of erroneous surgery when poisoning this species of spiders.
Many victims also experience nausea and vomiting, stress and severe dysfunction of the muscles of the extremities or back. If there is no treatment at this stage, the appearance of:
- positive Kernig syndrome;
- spasm of sphincters;
- tremor or convulsive twitching of the occipital muscles;
- violation of the function of the respiratory musculature;
- increased blood pressure.
Symptoms of extremely severe poisoning
In severe cases, there are other symptoms of a bite of a spider of Karakurt. The victim's agitation is replaced by apathy and depression. He has confusion (in some cases with psychotic reactions) and progressive dyspnoea with pulmonary edema (wet wheezing, crepitation, foamy sputum).
Most bites have a rosaceous rash on the skin. For the acute phase of intoxication, the phenomenon of the incidence of different painful and painful pains is also characteristic. This state is complicated by a strong sense of fear, the tension of various muscle groups and a sharp muscle weakness. There may be violations of peristalsis or urination.
With mild forms of poisoning after a bite of karakurt, the painful phenomena completely stop at the end of the first day. If the poison has strongly amazed an organism, the victim can feel pains 3-4 days.
