Becoming a person

From the moment of his birth, a person passes through various stages of physical and intellectual development, which, undoubtedly, are the most important component of his evolution as a representative of the biological species Homo Sapiens. But no less significant for each individual are the processes of formation and development of personality , since it depends on them the degree of harmony of his relationships with the closest environment, and with the whole society as a whole.

All origins in childhood

We all come to this world with a set of ready-made genetic skeletons, in which all the main vectors of our development are laid, but the destiny of man is largely determined by those stages of the formation of personality, through which we are destined to pass, starting from the moment when we first realize our own " I "and trying to determine their place under the sun.

Naturally, everything begins in childhood with the relationships that the child has with his parents and with other members of his family. Even then, the foundations of a person's nature are laid and from what atmosphere he is brought up, in many respects depends on whether he will subsequently be a strong and independent personality, capable of leading others and resisting any onslaught of unfavorable circumstances, or grow into a weak-willed, spineless being which will be terrified every time he has to make his own decisions.

They learn from mistakes

There are no simple ways in life, as is known, and the process of becoming a person is not an exception. Remember yourself in childhood and adolescence. How many cones did you stuff up while you were able to prove to yourself and others that you are worth something and that you need to reckon with. But this business did not end there. Despite the fact that 80% of the main "scaffolding" of our "I" is formed at the age of 3 to 15 years, the formation of the person's personality continues in the future (although it is much slower), and there are no strictly defined limits for the end of this period . In each case, they are their own. People change with age. We learn from our mistakes and take the life experience as a basis, try to build further relationships with those who surround us. And our whole life largely depends on what moral principles we hold and what skills of interaction with this world we have acquired in the process of moral and spiritual formation of one's personality.

Is there a choice?

Some mistakenly believe that our development entirely depends only on external stimuli, and in what environment a person lives, completely determines his future behavior and all psychological characteristics. In other words, if you were born into a family of criminals or alcoholics, then you have only one way: either to prison or to the nearest ditch. In fact, not everything is so simple. Of course, the parental example is one of the most important factors affecting the moral development of the personality of any person. But after all, freedom of choice, given to us by nature, has not been canceled. What is the meaning of the evolution of all species? To survive is the strongest. So, he who can consciously separate black from white and choose the right way of his further development as a member of society, will get a chance for a successful life, even in the presence of unsuccessful "luggage" in his pedigree.

Understand and predict

Similar issues are dealt with in such a direction of the scientific discipline as the psychology of the formation of a person's personality, which analyzes and summarizes all the favorable and negative aspects of the circumstances of life and the environment of a particular individual, as a result of which it becomes possible to understand the main motives of his actions. Such methods are used both in the work of ordinary psychoanalysis and in psychiatry, considering absolutely all factors that can influence the development of the personality, and in some cases even trigger the mechanisms of certain mental diseases.

In any case, it is necessary to remember one unshakable rule: we create ourselves. And the processes of deep introspection and personal perfection will always contribute to our moral and spiritual growth, and therefore to the purification of even a small part of the society that is our closest surroundings, for a man reaches out to himself like that. And in what direction in the foreseeable future the main vector of development of the whole society as a whole will be directed is also largely determined by the moral, ethical and moral principles that its individual members adhere to. So, it's up to us to decide how the world will be behind our window and how psychologically comfortable it will be for us to live in it.
