For the preparation of jam, you need: 1 kilogram of large zucchini, 4 cups of sugar, 3 oranges.

Zucchini should be washed, removed from the skin, cleaned of seeds, grated on a large grater and put in enameled dishes. Grated zucchini should be covered with sugar and put in a cold place for 4-6 hours.

Then zucchini with sugar put on the fire, bring to a boil and cook over medium heat for 20 minutes, stirring constantly with a spoon. After that, the jam should be removed from the fire, cooled and put in a cool place for 4 hours. Then again bring the jam to a boil, add to it a crushed, peeled orange and cook for another 15 minutes. After the jam has cooled, it stays for 4 hours and boils for the third time, it can be poured over sterilized jars and twisted.

Jam from zucchini with orange looks like pieces of pineapple in syrup, because as a result of three-fold cooking zucchini becomes light yellow and almost transparent.

The recipe for zucchini jam with lemon

Ingredients: 1 kilogram of zucchini, 800 grams of sugar, 1 lemon.

Squash should be washed, cut into small cubes, covered with sugar and leave for 10-12 hours, so they let the juice. Remove lemon peel and seeds and finely chop.

Squash put on the fire, bring to a boil and cook for 15 minutes. After that, add lemon and boil for another 15 minutes. The prepared jam is removed from the fire, spread on sterile jars, rolled up and turned upside down until completely cooled.

In jam from zucchini you can add an orange with lemon, then its taste will be more saturated. Many housewives prepare jam from courgettes with dried apricots - for this 1 kg of zucchini should take 150 grams of dried apricots. Jam from zucchini with pineapple taste is the dessert that can surprise any guest at any time of the year.
