It's one thing if you decide to make freshly caught fish, and quite another - a frozen carcass bought in the store, which has been lying on the counter for over a month.

At the same time, the feature of proteins in fish meat is that it is absorbed by the human body by 97%, which is an excellent indicator. If we talk about the energy value of fish, then it should be noted that the caloric content recorders are salmon (205 kcal per 100 g), and mackerel (191 kcal per 100 g), while the lowest value is cod (69 kcal per 100 d) and pike (74 kcal per 100 g). On the content of fats, the largest indicators are mackerel (13.2 g per 100 g of product), stellate sturgeon (10.3 g) and salmon (13 g). When carrying out heat treatment, the chemical composition of the fish meat, of course, varies. So the nutritional value of fried fish, in particular, calorie content, will increase more than 2 times, the amount of proteins on the contrary will become smaller.

Nutritional value of red fish

Since we have touched on the energy and nutritional value of red fish, it is worth noting that it also varies from the type of meat. On the nutritional value of salmon, we already wrote earlier. In addition to salmon, all species of fish from the sturgeon family are classified as red fish. For example, the energy value of a trout is only 88 kcal per 100 g. By the number of proteins, it is one of the best (17.5 g per 100 g of fish). The fat in its composition is only 2 g for every 100 g of the product. Another representative of the category of red fish - salmon has a caloric value of 153 kcal, at the same time, the fat it is 4 times higher than that of trout - 8.1 g per 100 g of product. The protein in its composition is 20 g per 100 g of fish.

Nutritional value of seafood

When planning a healthy diet, do not forget about seafood. Their nutritional value can not be overestimated. For example, oysters (120 kcal per 100 g) and shrimp (103 g respectively) have the maximum caloric content of seafood, mollusks, crab meat and lobster, mussels (from 72 to 84 kcal per 100 g) are the minimum. But at the same time, they have an incomparable chemical composition and can supplement the daily diet with missing vitamins and minerals.
