Three-layer cake with poppy seeds, nuts and raisins

By the holiday table or on the weekends, you sometimes want to make some interesting dessert, for example, a popular three-layer cake with poppy seeds, nuts and raisins.

However, we will have to deliver, since we need three biscuit cakes with different fillings, each one must be baked separately. But it's even not bad: you can even build two cakes at once, using a cake for each half.

Preparation

Preparation of fillers. Steam steamed raisins in boiling water, then water with salt, just prepare and poppy seeds. Nuts are ground in any convenient way.

We bake cakes. Prepare the dough for the first biscuit: connect 1 tablespoon of sugar with 2 egg yolks, pour rum, add vanilla and grind, then - flour, slaked soda and ground nuts. Whisk the whites separately with 1 tablespoon of sugar and add to the dough just before baking. You can add a little cream or fat kefir (not more than 1 tablespoon) to the dough.

Preheat the oven.

Lubricate the form with butter and fill the test with a maximum of 3/4 (in the process of baking biscuit, as they say, somehow, will grow). Bake for 40 minutes. Before removing from the mold, let the biscuit cool down for about 15 minutes.

Acting also, knead the dough for the second cake and bake it, with the only difference that instead of nuts we add steamed raisins to the mixture.

Next - prepare the dough with steamed and washed poppy and bake the third cake.

We make the cream: cocoa powder with the addition of cinnamon is mixed with sugar powder, and then with yoghurt. You can add a little water gelatinous solution (1/4 part, no more) to the cream.

Now we will build a cake from whole cakes or 2 cakes from halves (which will be obtained by cutting along each biscuit).

Building a cake

Plentifully smear-we pour the cake (or its half) with cream, sprinkle with candied fruits, once again we pour. Top - the second layer: the cake, cream, candied fruits, cream. Then - the third layer, pour the cream, sprinkle with grated chocolate. Place the cake for 3 hours, and preferably 5-8 in a cool place, so that the cakes are well soaked.

Serve three-layer homemade cake with coffee or freshly brewed tea.
