Caloric content of fried pollack fish in this case is significantly increased, therefore during diets it is not recommended to apply this method of food heat treatment. The caloric content of roasted pollock is in the range of 123-144 kcal. The exact figure depends on how much oil and what kind was added.

Usually pieces of Alaska pollock are cooked in flour or batter before cooking. The caloric content of pollock roasted in flour will be within the same limits as prepared without flour. In contrast, pollock cooked in batter, is a high-calorie dish. If the clay is made from eggs, flour and mayonnaise, the calorie content of such a product can exceed 250 units.

During diets fish pollock better to cook in other ways: boil, bake, stew without additional ingredients. Prepared fish preferably sprinkled with finely chopped herbs. In this case, the body can get all the useful substances in the fish, and not get extra calories.
