What is the difference between kosher and halal food?

Kashrut and halal are considered systems of restrictions, which are based on religious writings. These two systems are different, although they have a lot of rules. First of all, these rules apply to meat. And for Jews and Muslims, it is forbidden to consume blood, carrion and torn meat, and only certain species of animals are allowed to eat. The killing of an animal must be carried out only by a believer. On this their similarities stop. It is enough for Muslims that an animal be killed simply by a believer. It is inadmissible for eating only pork and any alcohol .

The rules of kashrut are much tougher. Of animals, only ruminant artiodactyls (cow, sheep, goat) are allowed to eat, all others are forbidden. Of fish, it is permissible to eat only scaly ones. Alcohol is allowed, but all grape drinks must be prepared only by a religious Jew. Cutting animals is allowed only by a specially trained carver who was granted permission and blessing separately for slaughtering birds and separately for slaughtering cattle. The animal must die instantly. But even if the animal is killed by all standards, it can be non-kosher if its internal organs are damaged. In addition, it is forbidden to eat meat and dairy products at the same time. For this reason, a kosher restaurant can be either only meat, or only dairy. Unauthorized food can be used by a Jew only in case of direct danger to life. These are only the main points of the rules of kashrut, in fact they are much more complicated.
