Potatoes are an agricultural crop, widely distributed in many countries of the world. Potato tubers are one of the most popular products, for many people this is the actual "second bread". In addition to carbohydrates, potato tubers contain vitamins C and B, as well as useful compounds of potassium and phosphorus, etc.

From potatoes (and potatoes), you can prepare various useful, tasty and interesting dishes, for example, potato balls, they can act as side dishes or as independent dishes.

First, chop the chopped onion and mushrooms. Fry these and other in a small amount of oil in a frying pan for 5 minutes. We reduce the fire. If the mushrooms are blown for another 10-15 minutes, stirring with a spatula (oyster mushrooms can be not smothered - they are edible in raw form).

Potatoes are cooked and purried. Add the onion-mushroom mixture, eggs, flour, finely chopped greens of dill and black ground pepper to mashed potatoes . Slightly pickle and mix thoroughly. We got a potato-mushroom dough. Correct the consistency of the dough with cream, milk or sour cream and flour (or starch).

Hands form balls (approximate diameter of about 2.5 cm) and lay out on a clean board.

Now, for cooking, we need a fryer, but an ordinary cauldron or stewpot will do.

Pour the oil into the deep fryer or cauldron and bring to a boil. Fry potato balls with a weak boil until a beautiful golden brown color with a special spoon-noise. When taking out the ready-made balls, place them on a clean napkin to remove the debris residues. Serve potato balls with herbs as a side dish with meat or fish dishes, or as an independent dish.

Of course, it will be more useful to bake potato balls in the oven for 20-25 minutes or boil in boiling water for 5-6 minutes.

Potatoes are boiled and poured with the addition of cream (or sour cream, milk). Add grated cheese, eggs, finely chopped dill greens, chopped garlic, ground spices and flour. If the dough is thin, add flour.

Hands form balls with a diameter of about 2.5 cm. Next, we can fry the potato-cheese balls in deep-fried (5-6 minutes), bake in an oven (20-25 minutes) or boil (5-6 minutes).

Grated hard cheese can be replaced with fatty non-acid curd - also it will be delicious.

You can include in the ingredients of this recipe or the previous (see above) about 200-300 g of fish or minced meat. For example, a good and inexpensive stuffing can be prepared from scraps of salmon. Or you can use sea fish (hake, cod, pollock, pollock, etc.).

In the variant with minced meat, it is better to take mixed pork-beef or chicken minced meat.

Ready-made potato balls with the addition of meat or fish mince are served as separate dishes, with greens, maybe with some light sauces (creamy, garlic, sour, mayonnaise).
